Our History

In 1918, Roberto and Ysabel Sanchez left Nayarit, Mexico, and settled in San Francisco. The couple opened their first business in 1924, a Mexicatessen on Broadway St in San Francisco. From this store, the Sanchez businesses grew to a tortilleria, night clubs, and restaurants (including the iconic Casa Sanchez Mexicatesen in San Francisco’s Mission District, now a protected historical landmark).

Robert Sanchez, grandson of Roberto, took over the business in 1975. Under his leadership, Casa Sanchez Foods transitioned to chips and salsa production, focusing on bringing the freshest possible ingredients to every customer who tastes our products. Today, we remain committed to providing our customers with the tastiest, freshest chips and salsas.
